Answered Prayers & A New Job

God really does answer prayers.

Since starting my blog, I haven't talked much about my job. For two reasons:
  • I don't like it. (It's not what I went to school for)
  • I hate the fact that I spend every day away from my daughter
So, for the most part, I'd rather not talk about it. All along I've just been sticking it out, hoping to get a different position where I could actually use my talents and be at home more. Maybe it was a lot to pray for. But then again, Ephesians 3:20 says God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine, so really it wasn't.

And sure enough, God answered.

In less than two weeks, I'll be starting my new job as Little Rock Family Magazine's editorial assistant. I'll be doing the "School Crossings" section as well as handling all the calendar events. It's only part-time, and to top it off, I can work from home.

I'm so excited to feel like a wife and mommy again. I've been so busy the past few months, it's made me miss even things like grocery shopping! I have a brand new kitchen that's dying to be cooked in! Now I'll finally have the time. Granted, I'll need to use some of my new-found time to clip coupons and become resourceful! (my full-time income is getting cut in half). But I have no doubt, it will be worth it.

And if we just ask Him, I know God will provide. He's already proven He listens.

  1. God is so good! Congratulations on your new job! and little Eden is so sweet. I love your pictures. :)

  2. What a praise! And you are definitely right, clipping those cuopons is well worth the extra time at home with your daughter. Congrats!
