Extreme Makeover Monday!!!

Welcome to an extreme edition of Makeover Monday! As you can see, there has been a complete overhaul of my blog! The new name is "This Beautiful Inheritance." It's based off a scripture in the Psalms (I'll share more on that later), and I think it's something that will fit our family for many, many years to come.

There has also been a complete redesign by Danielle Moss Graphic Design and Photography. I love the way it turned out! It is exactly what I was going for.

Anyway, now on to the portion of this post where we talk about The House.

There was actually something pretty significant accomplished this week -- the roof! Gone is that old, yucky, orange roof, and in its place sits a new, pretty black one.

A piece of metal fell off the front, which has to be replaced, but doesn't it look better?

Of course, there's still a whole list of things to be done to the outside, and most of it will happen at the very end, but I think this alone makes a huge difference.

Here's the back. Ignore the burn pile and huge mess in general.

On the inside, my dad did a lot of tearing out. The ceilings in the back (green) bedroom and in the utility room were ridiculously low so he tore out the sheetrock so they'll be higher.

These next few pictures are really bad quality because they were taken with a phone, but here's a little of that "tearing out" process.

And the finished product......

It's really hard to tell in this picture, but basically the roof is going to be slanted upward. Once it's sheetrocked, I think it will actually look really cool.

So there you have it. That's pretty much everything that's been accomplished this week. There is still sooooo much to do, but I'm excited to see some kind of progress!
