I feel passionately about serving the world around me. There are so many worthy causes and so much good to be done. But as a busy mom, I often find myself too busy or overwhelmed to seek out service opportunities. Too many times, I give myself a free pass "because I have babies" and tell myself that someone else will get involved and do the hard stuff.
But this month, Champions for Kids, a national organization committed to helping kids thrive, is hosting a simple service project so easy that I (and you!) have no excuse for not getting involved. They're partnering with Colgate and Walmart to provide toothbrushes and toothpaste to needy children in local schools.
I mean, a service project you can fit into your weekly Walmart trip? Talk about easy!
This month across central Arkansas, Walmart stores have bins set up to take your Colgate donations. When in the check-out line, you should see a display like this with children's toothbrushes and toothpaste.
(Or you can pick them up in the dental care aisle)
Simply add the products to your items for purchase, then drop them in one of the store's donation bins after check-out. Helping those in need does not get any easier!
The donated products will go directly to help children from the school district of your store.
I love this project. It's so simple yet so important. Every child deserves the resources for brighter smiles and brighter futures! Go help make it happen!
