Waking Up With Gevalia Single Serve Cups

I'm a mom. I'm tired.
(shocker, I know.)

And though Selah is a better sleeper than Eden was, it's still a rare night that she sleeps straight through and Eden doesn't crawl in my bed and all over me.

Not to mention the fact that I NEVER get my kids in bed before 10 p.m. You people that have the kids passed out at 8 p.m. are celebrities to me. I don't know how you do it.

So like I said, I'm tired. All the time. And I absolutely could not function without COFFEE. (And you moms that don't like coffee, I really don't know how you do it. Energy shots?)

A couple years ago Tyler got me a Keurig, and we have gotten our money's worth on that thing, I have to say. I have at least one cup of coffee every morning and most days, another one in the afternoon. My favorite brand of K-cups has always been Green Mountain Coffee, but recently I tried something new: Gevalia single serve cups.

Gevalia coffee has been around for ages, but the single serve cups are new. However, I had never tried either. And I'll be honest -- my expectations were low. I've tried lots of other K-cup varieties, and I always wind up back purchasing my old favorite.

But I took one sip of my first cup of Gevalia, and MMMMMMM.... I was pleasantly surprised. It was so smooth. So light. Not one bit bitter. I decided quickly that I may have a new favorite.

I'm now on my third box of Gevalia. I've tried the Colombian roast and the Signature blend, and both are equally delicious.

According to Gevalia's website, the company started back in 1853 when Victor Theodor Engwall, a Swede, acquired and brewed the world's finest beans. Apparently Swedes drink more coffee than almost anyone in the world, and Gevalia is -- always has been -- their favorite. And judging from the cups coming out of my Keurig, I can see why.

Yes, I add cream and sugar. But I do that to every coffee!
I'm not saying I won't ever go back to my old favorite. But I'm not saying I will.
