|Memaw holding Eden as a newborn|
That's why I was SO excited to receive Heaven is for Real for Little Ones this month from Tommy Nelson. Heaven is for Real for Little Ones is based on the real-life account of Colton Burpo, a young boy who died, went to Heaven, and returned to Earth to tell his story. You've probably seen Burpo's other books, Heaven is for Real and Heaven is for Real for Kids. But this version of the book is specifically written for toddlers and preschoolers and was perfect at explaining Heaven in terms that Eden could understand.
"Heaven is the most beautiful place! There are rainbows and golden streets. Pearls and jewels are on the walls and the gates. It is more beautiful than you can imagine."
"Heaven is full of kids. And they have so much fun. They get to run and play and learn amazing things from Jesus. No one ever gets bored in Heaven."
"Jesus told us to believe in Him and follow Him. That makes God happy. If you believe and follow Jesus, He will take you to Heaven someday too."
These are just some of the lines from this beautiful, age-appropriate book that not only teaches kids about Heaven, but in a simple way, shares the Gospel of Jesus too. It also includes eye-catching illustrations that give kids a mental picture of Heaven as well.
