I'm ready to go back to Pine Cove.
Not a week has passed since our trip to family camp last year, that the girls haven't talked about "Pine Cove." They regularly insist on pulling out our camp DVD and naming every kid they see, and Selah, almost daily, sticks her tongue out, pulls her ears and says, "I do this at Cove Kids!"
"Cove Kids" was the kids' class at camp last summer, and who knows if Selah ever actually made this funny face there, but she's convinced she did, and it's the one thing she remembers from our trip!
Family Camp at Pine Cove was such a blessing to us last year. We made sweet, sweet family memories that we'll cherish forever. And I am so excited to build on those memories when we go back this July! If you haven't read my posts about family camp before, it is truly the ultimate family vacation. No, it's not in an exotic location, and no, there are no roller coasters, but it's what a vacation should be -- relaxing, spiritually refreshing, fun and full of family time. It's perfect.
There is something for everyone at camp -- from daycare for infants, to classes for kids, to Bible study for adults. Everything is strategically planned and tailored to meet individual needs. And like I said, there's quality family time. Like the super fun theme nights, family worship, and free time you can spend at the pool, the jumping pillow, the lake, or the countless other recreational activities.
And hey, moms, when I say family camp is really a vacation, I mean it. We're talking 18 hot, delicious meals placed in front of your family that you don't prepare or lift a finger to clean up. The staff will even put your baby in her high chair and cut up her food! You, Mom, can just take it easy.
I could go on and on. The way the staff served us and loved on our babies... the way the directors genuinely cared about our family and taught us the Bible... the way every detail of what our family might need was thought out and provided so we could just sit back and enjoy... it all deserves its own blog post.
But the bottom line is that going to Pine Cove is a way to invest in your family. In a culture where everything else seems to pull us in different directions, it's so nice to spend a week getting reconnected.
Doesn't it sound like just what your family needs?
When you call or register online for camp this Monday, mention code KELCIEBLOG and receive $100 off the price of family camp! (Discount is good Monday, Feb. 3 only)
Does Pine Cove sound amazing, but you just can't get your whole family there this year? Consider sending your child (grades 2-12) to one of Pine Cove's many overnight youth camps! At youth camp, each day is packed with Bible studies, water sports, rope courses, swimming, and discipleship from caring, college-aged staff. Register your child for youth camp this Monday, Feb. 3 and receive $25 off when you mention KELCIEBLOG.
Why not go ahead and decide that instead of spending this summer, you're going to invest into the life of your family? They're worth it.
Congratulations to Amanda Money! You've won my "God's Little Princess Bedtime Devotional" giveaway. I'll email you about claiming your prize.
