New Blog Series Starting Tomorrow!

As moms, we put a lot of pressure on ourselves. I've talked about it around here before, and it's an ongoing struggle. We see other moms doing something we're not, or we read a "better" parenting strategy online, or our kids misbehave, and we wonder if we're doing anything right...

But the thing is -- it's ok if we don't do everything other moms do. And it's ok if our strategy is different from theirs. Each of us is unique with different families and circumstances.

AND IT'S OK!

I recently ate lunch with a blogging friend of mine (amandafarris.org) and was relieved to hear her echo this same sentiment. Like me, she was tired of feeling "less than" when she compared herself to others and was frustrated that other moms may be feeling the same way. We both agreed that if we're not perfect mothers... it's ok!

We put our blogging brains together and decided to collaborate on a series of posts on this topic, which we hope will encourage you as well as let you off the hook! It's ok to just be you.

Here are the details on our series, which starts tomorrow!

Series Title: It's Okay If....
(Each post will discuss a different topic that is Ok!)

Participating Blogs: www.thisbeautifulinheritance.com (yours truly) and www.amandafarris.org

Days of the Week: Tuesdays during the month of May

How It Will Work: Each Tuesday Amanda and I will put up posts on our blogs starting with the title "It's Okay If..." We will each discuss different topics... some serious, some funny, some that may tempt you to judge us. Please don't. That's the whole point of this thing ;)

You guys are going to love Amanda. She is the real deal. She is so passionate about mothering her three little ones and creating a family life that is centered on Jesus. She sees motherhood as a precious gift and makes sacrifices to keep it her focus and priority. Every time I visit her blog I am challenged to give more, to whine less, and to be intentional with my kids. I am honored to be partnering with her.

Visit us tomorrow for our first posts of the series!
